Please bear with me, this website is definitely a work in progress! Thanks, Becky

Who We Are |
Mark and Becky have been living in the Foothills for over 30 years. We are members of local civic organizations as well as members for the specific animals we breed. We are both avid athletes having competed in endurance running, road running, road biking, mountain biking, endurance riding (horseback) and adventure racing. Though the time involved in farming/ranching doesn't allow for much added activities we still seem to get a run in every now and again.

Our History |
We started by raising our own chickens and rabbits for meat. That led into wanting and obtaining a milking goat...which has now become 13 milking goats! We thoroughly enjoy the Nubians, their antics, and their products. We also added on some meat goats, Boer and Kiko's...they now number around 70!!! Do not take the saying "goats are like potato chips, you can't have just one" lightly. We have also been raising Maremma Sheepdogs, an Italian breed of Livestock Guardian Dog. We find the Maremma the best match for small farms.
The last and most recent addition to Unfinished Acres is a black chicken breed called Ayam Cemani. This is a rare breed chicken that is coal black inside and out! Please check in with us and find out what's going on at UNFINISHED ACRES |
